The Los Angeles Lakers release NBA veteran Andrew Bogut, who has averaged 1.5 points and 3.3 rebounds in his 24 games played for the Lakers. He has played just nine minutes in each game played. Bogut signed a one-year contract in September.
Shams Charania from Yahoo Sports reported the news that Bogut is expected to sign with a team that’s competing in the postseason. The Lakers requested waivers on the post player recently.
Bogut has gone on record saying the Laker players have been frustrated with the team’s record after their 5-5 start.
The Lakers will attempt to fill the roster spot by signing a player who’s great at shooting, since that will help the teams outside shooting woes as reported from ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski.
