Thomas’ hip injury is an interesting situation to keep an eye on. He has been rehabbing on a daily basis to get back to his new team, the Cleveland Cavaliers, in order to get another chance to compete for a championship.
He has been hinting lately that he may beat his early January timetable. The hope is that he returns in all-star rare form sometime in December, even though Cavaliers coach Ty Lue doesn’t want to rush Thomas back.
The all-star hasn’t received any surgery on this injury so it seems as if there is no particular structure damage to his hip.
Thomas’ new team is in need of their point guard and he will be a great asset on the offensive end. The all-star led the Boston Celtics to an electrifying season last year and he’s sure to do the same with LeBron James this year.
It will be interesting to see how IT’s and LeBron James on-court chemistry develops over time.
