The Boston Celtics won their 13th game in a row last night 109-102 on the road against the Brooklyn Nets. The starters were a key to this game and despite the second team struggling they still got the W. Kyrie Irving dropped 25 points, Jaylen Brown scored 14 and Jason Tatum with 19 for the C’s back court. Big men Marcus Morris added 21 and 10 rebounds and Al Horford dropped 17 points and 11 rebounds.
Kyrie did say that he hated wearing that mask but he sure did look comfortable last night in Brooklyn and it’s a good thing that he came back. As I stated, the second string struggled and blew the lead in the 2nd quarter and 3rd quarter but the Celtics starters came in and took care of business.
Now the Celtics turn to the biggest game of the season with Golden State coming into Boston on Thursday on TNT. I am glad to see that Kyrie was healthy last night and the C’s looked good but the second string will have to play better if they want a chance to beat Golden State. Steph Curry has been sidelined the past few games with a bruised thigh but he should be good to go on Thursday and rested – which will be very exciting to see him and Kyrie go toe to toe.
I like the Celtics to come out to play very strong and show that they are the real deal. I am not sure what the spread is yet, but let’s take a look at the Celtics being an underdog at home!
