UPDATE – Kyrie Irving set to play tonight in Brooklyn with a protective mask
The Boston Celtics go for win #13 in a row tonight in Brooklyn against a tough Nets team. The C’s are still questioning if they should bring Kryie Irving back from a facial fracture with a protective mask that Kyrie is no stranger to. However, if Kyrie is held out of tonight (which I think he will be) then don’t expect Boston to back down from the challenge.
The Celtics just took win number 12 in a row on Sunday with a 95-94 win over the Toronto Raptors at the TD Garden, behind 21 points from Al Horford.
The fact that Kyrie traveled with the team does make me think he might give it a go tonight, but with the Warriors coming up on Thursday in a nationally televised game at home – I think they will save him for that. Thursday should be a very good indicator of just how good this Celtics team is and where they stand in the NBA. Steph Curry has been resting his bruised thigh for the last couple games to make sure he is good to go against Boston and I expect and absolute thriller.
Let’s hope this Green and White team isn’t looking forward to Thursday like I am and they can handle their business and get the road W tonight in Brooklyn.
