Roger Goodell extension to be finalized “soon”

ESPN – The NFL expects a five-year contract extension with Commissioner Roger Goodell to be finalized soon, despite a threatened lawsuit by Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones.

NFL spokesman Joe Lockhart said Thursday that “our expectation is this will be wrapped up soon, but we can’t project an actual date.”

The extension would carry through 2024. Goodell became commissioner in 2006.

Wow.  Talk about just shitting on Jerry Jones’ face with this news. Jones is trying to sue the NFL for extending the contract of Goodell because he (and everyone else) knows just how bad he sucks as a commissioner.  If nothing else, this is just going to cause a massive problem when the next CBA comes up as the NFLPA and most of the owners absolutely despise working for that piece of shit. Going to be interesting to see how a platform like the NFL deals with down ratings and major issues.

I suspect a serious threat to strike by the NFLPA and owners unless some things change.
