Patriots agree to 3-year deal with Brian Hoyer

ESPN – The New England Patriots and free-agent quarterback Brian Hoyer have reached agreement on a three-year contract, league sources told ESPN on Wednesday.

This makes the Jimmy G trade a little easier to swallow, locks up a very solid backup QB for the Pats if something happens to Tommy Boy – but this doesn’t answer the major question…. who is Tom Brady’s successor?  It is hard to say what is going on in Bill Belichick’s mind but I think this shows that Tom Brady is poised for at least another 3 years with Hoyer backing him up and he definitely still has the drive to win.

Tom is never content and never happy until he wins that Super Bowl and I wouldn’t be surprised if he is in Minnesota again this year with a chance to win his 6th!
